BIOGRAPHY

Vivienne Ming is an AI serial entrepreneur and acclaimed neuroscientist.

Vivienne Ming is named one of 10 Women to Watch in Tech by Inc. Magazine.

She also co-founded Socos Labs, her fourth company, where she combines machine learning, cognitive neuroscience, and economics to maximize life outcomes in education and the workplace. This science incubator is dedicated to solving some of the world’s most pressing problems.

Today, she sits on the boards of numerous companies and non-profit organizations including StartOut, The Palm Center, Cornerstone Capital, Platypus Institute, Shiftgig, Zoic Capital, and SmartStones.

Previously, Vivienne was a visiting scholar at UC Berkeley’s Redwood Center for Theoretical Neuroscience, pursuing her research in cognitive neuroprosthetics.

In her free time, Vivienne invents AI systems to help treat her diabetic son, predict manic episodes in bipolar sufferers, and reunite orphan refugees with extended family members.

She also speaks frequently on her AI-driven research into inclusion and gender in business.

Her work is featured frequently in The Financial Times, The Atlantic, Quartz Magazine and the New York Times regarding her research and inventions
