Marc Raibert is a pioneering roboticist, currently serves as the Executive Director of The AI Institute, an organisation he founded to advance the development of intelligent machines. Prior to this, he established Boston Dynamics, renowned for creating dynamic robots like BigDog, Atlas, Spot, and Handle.
His leadership at Boston Dynamics led to the development of advanced robotic systems, culminating in commercially successful products like Spot and Stretch. Before founding Boston Dynamics, Raibert was a professor at MIT and Carnegie Mellon University, where he founded the Leg Laboratory, a lab that helped establish the scientific basis for highly dynamic robots.
