The Portuguese Association of Distribution Companies (APED) is hosting their Spring event on Wednesday the 12th of May this year.
The Association brings together groups of companies in the retail, wholesale and e-commerce sector, which represents more than 11% of Portugal’s GDP. All the activity developed involves constant innovation and anticipation of trends in four strategic and priority axes: People, Sustainability, Economy of the Future and Competitiveness and Ethics.
This year their Spring Conference #APEDSpringConference is focusing on two themes “Retail DNA: Sustainability“ & Machine Challenges
Carl Benedikt Frey and University of Oxford & Miguel Monjardino, Universidade Católica Portuguesa will discuss Machine Challenges and will debate the new geopolitical trends and the future of world trade relations.
The second panel will have a special focus on Retail DNA: Sustainability, focussing on the topics of carbon neutrality, energy sources, and water will be discussed here between Chris Goodall and Luísa Schmidt, Instituto de Ciências Sociais – Universidade de Lisboa (ICS-ULisboa).
