Lars Silverbauer is a global speaker at leading conferences on topics such as digital disruption, digital media and organisational transformation and change. Through his years in the frontline of digital disruption he has gained insights and insider knowledge on how to prevail and leverage the increase pace of disruption. Lars is currently the Senior Vice President of Viacom Digital Studios. His role there is to drive the MTV brand on digital and focus on the development of digital originals.
For seven years prior to that Lars was Senior Global Director of Social Media and Video at Lego Group. In this role, he was responsible for theĀ innovative toy company’s global strategy and execution on social media, search and execution (paid and organic), YouTube channels, LEGO TV and the Chinese equivalent. In that position Lars built a global team of digital marketers in 5 different locationsĀ (London, Shanghai, Billund (Denmark), Los Angeles and Enfield (Massachusetts).
āWhile working at LEGOĀ® in 2014 he launched LEGOĀ® TV in 40 markets. LEGOĀ® TV is a native mobile experience for kids where they can experience high quality animated LEGO content. He also was responsible for the LEGO YouTube channels which have reached more than 1 billion views.
Before joining the LEGO Group Lars worked for 10 years in the digital and broadcast media industry as a digital strategist connecting traditional broadcasting with digital experiences.Ā He also worked as creative manager heading up a team of designers and developers creating the illumination of theĀ Danish Radio ConcerthouseĀ build by the French architect Jean Nouvel.
